View your Past Conversations with ChatGPT
Hello and welcome. ChatGPT has introduced a new feature that allows users to view their past conversations. To access this feature, users must navigate to their profile area, click on the settings link, and then go to the personalization section. Within this section, there is a newly added frame that enables users to see their chat history. Previously, the memory area only allowed users to toggle saved memories on or off. Now, users have the additional option to choose whether ChatGPT can reference their chat history, which is presented as another toggle option.
It is crucial to understand that when an account is updated, the chat history reference feature will be enabled by default. This means that if users do not wish for ChatGPT to reference their previous conversations, they must manually disable this option in the settings area.
Furthermore, there is a dictate command available in the dialog box. Users can click on a microphone icon labeled "dictate." To utilize this feature, users must grant their browser and ChatGPT access to their microphone. Once this access is enabled, users can dictate their messages, and the system will transcribe their spoken words into the dialog box. An example phrase provided for dictation is, "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their countrymen." After dictating, users have the ability to edit the transcribed text before submitting it to ChatGPT.
In summary, the new features in ChatGPT significantly enhance user interaction by providing access to chat history and enabling voice dictation for input.
